Today’s discussion mainly focuses on customer targeting. However, to fully understand this topic, I request that you read the following three articles first. Then it will be very beneficial for you to understand this secret technique:
- How to Stand Out in a Crowded Market? Grok AI’s Secret Strategy (Part 1)
- Grok AI Secret Strategy Part Two: Details
- How to Use Grok AI’s Secret Strategy in Your Business? (Hidden Technique)
I have already told you what big companies actually do. I may not be able to offer a strategy as comprehensive as theirs, but I have given you the best strategy I can.
Now let’s see how they target customers and how we can learn from them. You may ask — what can we learn from them? I will say, there is no end to education. There is no harm in learning the education that can be used in reality and which is needed for your career needs.
Today, we will understand how big personalities like Elon Musk or Bill Gates target their customers through some familiar examples. (Also, a new brand has recently emerged in India, which I will explain in detail in the next article).
1. Payoneer’s Customer Targeting Strategy
First, let’s talk about the well-known payment gateway Payoneer. How did they target their customers? Our simple or easy answer is — they targeted freelancers. However, because the answer is so simple, many of us do not understand the real mechanism. I will simplify it:
- American context: If your home is in the USA, then you have PayPal, a bank, and a card — there is no problem or complication. You can transact dollars very easily.
- Asian context: But what if your home is not in Europe but in Asia? Then dollar transactions are prohibited without a passport, which is the most difficult for newcomers. On top of that, PayPal does not support it. As a result, there are huge difficulties in transactions.
The Secret: Payoneer targeted Asia right here. Because they knew that the real customers and problems were in this region.
2. Customer Targeting of OpenAI or AI Projects
Now let’s talk about another well-known sector — AI. When OpenAI was first launched, it was said that it was not for making money. Then you know who they targeted? Asia!
You might think, why Asia? Because:
- The geographical environment of Asia was already far behind the touch of modernity.
- Meanwhile, when people in Asia saw that their work could be done very easily with AI, they started working behind it (if I explain more, the writing will become very big, so stop here).
OpenAI first offered the service for free, then, when everyone got used to it, they started charging money. Although there may be fewer Asian customers or paid users here, the marketing work is being done by Asian people for free. Because they can work easily. Although there is more work at present, the main customers of most AI projects are within Asia.
Lessons to be Learned From These Two Incidents
We have to learn one big thing from these real examples:
- Understand your business: First, you need to understand your own business very well.
- Research: After understanding the business, you need to do a little in-depth market research.
- Right customer target: Since you will build your business as a “brand”, do not just stick to the boundaries of your own country, but target the exact place where your customers are more around the world.
Then implement the right strategy. You will see that everything in your business will be fine. The amount you are spending on marketing or business now will still be the same; The only difference is — you were an ordinary businessman, and now you will become a Brand Owner! A small change in perspective makes a big difference.
What Will be in the Next Article:
In today’s article, there was no other way than to explain information through stories. But to get something, you have to give up something; that’s normal. In the next article, I will tell you in detail about what a new Indian brand is doing and what you should learn from it. Thank you!
